A Brief History of Crystal Balls

Nothing is credited with the magical power of divination more than the humble Crystal Ball. The picture of the fortune telling gypsy gazing in to the ball and foretelling your future is only one aspect of this pure symbolic item. It is mentioned in the book of revelations and referred to in the legend of King Arthur, who sought out the advice and prophecies of Merlin the Magician via his crystal ball.
Prominent in the middle ages, Scryers (fortune tellers) revered their crystal balls, often passing them on to their apprentices. A tool for reaching and communicating with the divine, indeed crystals have always been used in communications ~ just as they are today in radios, telephones and computers.
Possibly the reason crystal balls became important tools is because of their inherent characteristics of transparency and symmetry. Additionally it is claimed the energetic fields of crystals and gemstones influence what the scryer sees on a very subtle and often esoteric level.

Choosing Your Crystal Ball

The larger the Crystal Ball, the stronger the energies within. A larger crystal ball also allows a larger observation area. They come in different colours and some are not so clear as others but the clearer it is the better. Feel drawn to a Crystal Ball, as the one for you will make itself known.
After purchase, place it in the sunlight and moonlight to energize it. Hold it and get to know it. After a while you will begin to share a frequency with it.

To use a crystal ball

Place your Crystal Ball on a stand on a solid surface, preferably dark in colour. Have only one candle lit behind the crystal and some sandalwood or wormwood incense burning. Sit in a comfortable position and breathe deeply to the count of four, then hold the breath until the count of four and finally release to the count of four. Repeat this until you feel your body has relaxed enough to focus on the crystal. Touch the Crystal with both hands, either in one place or turning it slighty. Let the person you are reading touch it too. Try to clear your mind of all thoughts and stare into the ball. Continue this for about ten minutes. If your eyes cross, unfix your gaze, relax and start again. If any images appear to you in the ball, immediately write them down and interpret them as you would a dream. They may appear 2d, 3d, moving, or still. The closer and larger the vision, the closer in time and more important the information is.
Be patient. In time and practice, one can see images of the present, past or future, much like that of a television screen projecting before you.
